Marche: discover the region

Anyone looking for sandy beaches can choose the coastline between the elegant Fano and the dynamic Senigallia, famous for its Rotonda on the sea and for its nickname Velvet Beach, or reach Riviera delle Palme, further south, and choose San Benedetto del Tronto, Grottammare and Cupra Marittima. The landscape is different on the Riviera del Conero, characterised by the fascinating Mount Conero and its rocky coastline, with places such as Sirolo and Numana, or the pebbly beach of Porto Recanati.

Also unmissable, Recanati, the city of poet Giacomo Leopardi, and the fascinating Frasassi Caves, which can be found within the Gola della Rossa e di Frasassi Natural Regional Park. Moving towards the Apennine mountains between Umbria and Marche, the landscape changes and becomes ideal for those who love excursion immersed in nature, skiing and visiting old mountain towns.
