Islands: Holidays in France

Bungalows on the Islands of France
Holidays in bungalows on the Islands of France, at least as far as the European side is concerned, offer a wide variety of landscapes and campsites or holiday villages. The Island most loved by outdoor tourists is definitely Corsica, the fourth Island of the Mediterranean Sea by extension, located to the north of Sardinia, with the short stretch of sea of the Straits of Bonifacio, which separate it from the Italian Island. If Corsica is a guarantee of mild temperatures and postcard landscapes, with the villages overlooking the crystal clear sea, for the smaller French Islands of the Atlantic Ocean, like the tourist island of Ré, sensations are definitely more particular.

Corsica in bungalows
Corsica is the perfect destination for tourists looking for contact with nature which, is wild and fascinating on this island. Beaches and coves overlooking the crystal clear sea are in fact surrounded by the green of the Mediterranean scrubland that, heading towards the hinterland, rises to the mountain areas where it is even possible to ski during the winter: Val d'Ese, Ghisoni and Haut Asco are the three ski resorts. But Corsica in bungalows is mainly synonymous with summer and seaside holidays, with more classic beaches in the south and wilder beaches in the north. Among the most beautiful beaches of the south of Corsica, between Ajaccio and Porto Vecchio, we would like to point out the magnificent sandy beaches of Rondinara, Santa Giulia and Palombaggia. To the north, however, not to be missed are the beaches of Cap Corse, L'Ile Rousse and Calvi.

French Islands in the Atlantic Ocean
The charm of the Ocean, the landscapes with incredible traits and the strong inclination for outdoor tourism: the French Islands in the Atlantic Ocean offer original opportunities of holidays, probably unimaginable for those who do not know these parts of France. Among the main examples are the Island of Ré, located off La Rochelle in the New Aquitaine, shaped between two straits that characterize the landscape where beaches, salt marshes and fishing town alternate. Here you will find numerous campsites and holiday villages with bungalows. Noteworthy are also the nearby Island of Oleron, the largest after Corsica, located opposite Rochefort, as well as Ouessant, the Island of Noirmoutier and the Île-de-Bréhat in Brittany.

The other French Islands in the Mediterranean
In addition to Corsica, to be mentioned is the archipelago of the Islands of Hyères in Provence with Porquerolles, Port-Cros and the Île du Levant, as well as the Island of Santa Margherita, the largest of the Lerino Islands, located in front of the beautiful Cannes on the Côte d'Azur.
