Etruscan Coast: discover the tourist area

The sea and the nature of Tuscany come together with history to offer dream holidays to tourists who choose campsites and holiday villages with bungalows on the Etruscan coast, the stretch of beaches and seaside resorts within the province of Livorno. So called for the rich presence of Etruscan necropolis, especially in the Archaeological Park of Baratti and Populonia, the Etruscan coast includes the coastal towns of Piombino, San Vincenzo, Castagneto Carducci, Bibbona, Cecina, Rosignano Marittimo and Livorno. It is always possible to visit the Etruscan necropolis of the Archaeological Park of Populonia and Baratti, near the Gulf of Baratti, as well as the Museum of Rosignano Marittimo, the excavations of Castiglioncello and the Municipal Archaeological Museum of Villa Guerrazzi in Cecina. The Tuscan towns of the area are also very characteristic, from Castagneto Carducci Bolgheri, where you can stroll through the streets of the old town and enjoy a break in a restaurant. Wine and extra virgin olive oil are the main pillars of local food and wines, with excellence in places such as Bolgheri, Terratico di Bibbona, Montescudaio and Val di Corno, as well as the Island of Elba.
